Robert S. Carlson

Robert Carlson is a partner whose practice focuses on trust and estate litigation, will contests, fiduciary litigation, and business disputes. Mr. Carlson received his undergraduate degree from Indiana University in 1991 and graduated from the University of Missouri School of Law in 1996 where he was a recipient of the James Lewis Parks and Stephen Kraft Memorial Scholarships. Mr. Carlson has been admitted to practice in all of Georgia’s state and federal trial and appellate courts. He is a member of the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association, and Litigation and Estate and Probate Sections of the Atlanta Bar Association.

Since joining the firm in 1999, Mr. Carlson has handled some of the firm’s most significant cases. He has successfully prosecuted and defended will contests and fiduciary claims of all types, including disputes involving executor and trustee misconduct, guardianships, and minority shareholder rights.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Carlson represented consumer finance and non-bank lending institutions in regulatory compliance matters and class action litigation. Mr. Carlson has authored numerous articles which have been published in national law journals and presented at legal seminars.

Originally a native of Boston, Mr. Carlson moved to Atlanta in 1991. Mr. Carlson, his wife Johnna, son Andrew, and daughter Ava currently reside in the Grant Park area of Atlanta.
